Feliz Navidad!

We took a wonderful holiday trip with Grandma and Grandpa Haines and Uncle Patrick, Aunt Rebecca and cousins Timo and Sebastian to the Mayan Riveria in Mexico. As the pictures below show, Lucas had so much fun to escaping the New York cold and enjoy the Mexican sun and getting (and giving) lots of love to his family!!!

Granny Lucky gave us this crazy bath mitt a while back. Tonight we put it into action for the first time and, boy, was it a hit!

Lucas survived Hurricane Earl and enjoyed a great Labor Day weekend as the mascot of "Team B" at 44 Miankoma. He loved walking in the sand, watching the waves, and somehow beat everyone at "Aw Heck" (in addition to eating half the cards.)

Lucas Hits Ledyard

Lucas had a great trip to Ledyard Farms, the home of his great-great grandfather in Ledyard,NY in the Finger Lakes. Lucas enjoyed a great family reunion with his cousins, Timo and Sebastian, Uncle Patrick and Aunt Rebecca and Grandma and Grandpa Haines. He really took well to farm life enjoying the chickens, horse and highland cattle and the Wheat Harvest Festival. Cant wait to visit again next year!

Lucas (age 6 months) Weighs In

Our little man is 6 months old! And we celebrated with rice cereal (see below) and a trip to the pediatrician for a weigh in among other things. Lucas loved the scale and thought it was a new bouncy seat. (Little did he know that after the weighing came shots!) Oh, and in case your curious, Lucas is tipping the scales at almost 19 pounds.

We are constantly amazed by Lucas's rapid mood changes. It just takes one jangle of a toy or tickle of the belly to transform him from a deeply contemplative mood to a giggling goofball.
